I never did that.
- Somebody had reported the cut aleph issue _with_ a screenshot (look
in the archive, I know I have seen it); thinking that the issue was
caused by the DFB old version
- I asked at first a 2.8.10 image to be sure that rendering issues
that I might have seen were not caused by the old version. I
understood that it was not necessary.
- I understood and asked for a working 2.0.9 version (hoping to choose
the best set of fonts for all languages). (Thinking that the font
might be issue, but never trying to solve that problem - I focused on
getting screenshots with various fonts and languages)
- while I was trying to avoid conflicting fonts (not the alef issue)
because I observed that we were never sure which font were we looking
at some point, I suggested that an image built against X might be
useful for that

Somebody pointed out such a picture before; I know that for sure...

I was pointing out that we could be more pragmatic about this.

Don't forget I still have problems with i-net connection @ home (as in
"no i-net") and I am doing all of these things while being offline
