Unfortunately the installation CD cannot find the SATA hard drive in my installation process.Does any one have any help or step by step guide on how i can successfully install Debian on my Dell server.Thanks.

One of the unofficial sarge installers with a newer kernel (often listed
as needed for certain dell models for some reason) might work better.
For example:

http://wiki.osuosl.org/display/LNX/Debian+on+Dell+Servers?focusedCommentId=7118

etc.

A listing of lspci and lspci -n would also be handy.
