Howto install sarge to boot on lvm on raid5 ???

You will need a sererate /boot partition. This can either be a simple
partition or a RAID 1 (mirror).

You are best to make it a mirror on partitions that are the same size in
the same positions on two identical disks. Install LILO onto this /boot
patrition and ensure that each disk had a bootsector in it's MBR ( I have
not used d-i for a long time to install lilo other than on the MRB... I
suspect that d-i will install a bootsector on the MBR of the first disk
but that you will have to install a bootsector on the second disk by hand
- from the running debian system).
