Re: Install problems on Fujitsu PRIMERGY BX300 Blade server (RAID issue)

Hi,

No it's not the same problem. I don't think this blade server uses SATA.
http://www.fujitsu-siemens.com/products/intel_servers/blade/primergy_bx_300.html

According to the data sheet it uses a Promise PDC 20270 controller.
Upon boot up, I says it carries a Promise FastTrack TX2 BIOS v2.00.0064.33.

RHES3 is supported on this blade (after a LOT of tweaking), so I've
included a lspci and dmesg of a working RedHat blade, which may help the
more techincally inclined:-
Note that I tried using the boot paramaters used on the RedHat system
(noprobe dd psaux-reconnect ide0=0x1f0,0x3f6,14 ide1=0x170,0x376,15
ide2=0 ide3=0 ide4=0 ide5=0 ide6=0 ide7=0 ide8=0 ide9=0) on Debian
Sarge. That allowed me to get as far as installing Debian onto the SCSI
emulated RAID, but installing GRUB on the MBR failed.
