Hi, and thanks for your bug report.Currently there are two ways of using SATA (in native mode) with debian-installer, either boot and install with a 2.6 kernel (using linux26 as the boot command), or wait until kernel 2.4.27 is released which is scheduled to include SATA support which should also bring that support to the installer once the kernel version is upgraded.
