[i386] [RC1] Informal installation report

Over the last week, I have done several RC1 test installations both on my
desktop and my laptop (all i386). Here's a quick summary of the results.
- - laptop netboot 2.6 kernel en/Netherlands and nl_NL/Netherlands
- the pxeboot.tar.gz is beautiful
- no problems during the installation
- some Dutch translation errors which I will report to d-l10n-dutch;
one major translation problem in exim4-config: hope that can be fixed
before Sarge release
- known problem: net-console and ssh have missing libc6 libs (#264370)
- - tried to boot laptop from USB stick, but for some reason my laptop refuses;
I don't think that's d-i related though...
- - qemu installation on same laptop, boot from using 100MB CD image 2.6 kernel
- worked very nice with network support and all
- no problems during the installation
- made a nice set of Dutch d-i screenshots [1]
(converted to jpeg because of size)
- strange screensize behavior, probably because 1st stage uses framebuffer:
- 1st stage 640x480 (80x30)
- 2nd stage 720x400 (80x25)
- - desktop netinst CD 2.4 kernel nl_NL/Netherlands
- known problem: aptitude error when choosing "manual package selection"
in tasksel: no packages are shown (screen is empty)
- strange hotplug USB error "Bad USB Agent invocation" (reported as #266054)
not seen during earlier installations
- all in all successful installation
Conclusion: best release yet, almost there...
