Comments/Problems:

<Since I do not follow debian.maint.boot, it would be nice to include an
option to make a grub boot disk.
Also of important note to users who use the Linux26 option, is the
confusion of mounting swap I was expecting to see swap as a mount option
like root/ boot/ usr/ $
I did not know it was in the other menu, but otherwise very good. I
also noticed that you gave warnings about having XFS filesystems and
grub. According to Grub XFS support is included, so no need for the
warning, on ext3 boot partition.
##Important I do not know if this was covered on the mailing lists,
googe did not turn anything up. But the installer does not install a
SMP kernel, the kernel it installed was only for uniprocessors.
I even had to compile a new kernel, and to find out that the SMP
sections where missing. I had to download a SMP kernel image and then
use its config file to get the missing smp compatible parts. Some people
will not know how to do this, or will think they are having dual CPUs
when top, or proc only shows one. Maybe you mentioned it in the HOWTO,
but for some reason I missed it.##>$
