Bug#252551: Clarifications requested by Christian Perrier

1. I may have the wrong terminology for the version of d-i. On advice from
M. Michlmayr, I downloaded floppy images from
http://ftp.debian.org/dists/unstable/main/installer-i386/current/images/floppy/
on 2004/05/30. When the floppy executed, it identified itself as 20040528.
I thought from information on the d-i web page that this was a snapshot of
Beta 4, but perhaps that's incorrect. I don't know what tc1 means.

2. On machine #1, the reiserfs filesystems on /dev/sdb1 and /dev/sdb2 left
over from previous Linux installs were not recognized at first. The
partitioner reported that no filesystems were found on those partitions.
After it recreated them, it recognized them and listed the partitions as
having reiserfs systems. But it hung when it attempted to assign
mountpoints to partitions on /dev/sdb. It succeeded at assigning
mountpoints to partitions on /dev/sda, and completed the installation with
that limitation.
I think it also failed to recognize the existing Linux filesystems on
/dev/sda until it created new ones, but I don't see that in my notes, so I'm
not certain.

4. Separating item 4 above into the wishlist category is probably
reasonable. However, it's unexpected that GRUB couldn't be written to a
floppy. There might be a simple reason.
