Bug#250550: Partitioning failure

There is a Broadcom Tg3 in this machine. It works with Windows XP,

The tg3 driver fails in the common way (it says it is handling
it, but the led on the back of the machine is mostly of except
for a slight blink every second or so). No network installation
possible.

What kind of chip do you have exactly? Can you print the output of
the kernel when you load the tg3 module. Have you heard of other
people with this problem?

I've seen it happen with SuSE and seen it on other sites too
(http://www.hardeman.nu/~david/thinkpad/#network). So the
network card is no Debian specific issue.

The partition issue is real however.
