I suppose that any medium with the base system can be considered 
"installable". But for the installer to fail because no network 
interfaces are detected is pretty serious, since as time passes many new 
systems will ship with NICs that the Sarge kernel doesn't support. Is 
there anyone out there who currently has a system, without any network 
connectivity, who could help test this? I'd rather not yank out my NIC 
and wireless card if I didn't have to...
