Scenario: 1. configure choose-mirror, do manual config and enter garbage so it fails 2. back out to main menu 3. configure choose-mirror again 4. notice that it never prompts for a country this time The problem is that in 1, the country qestion is displayed, and marked as seen. When you back out in 2, this leaves the package half-configured. Now when main-menu runs it again, it will just udpkg --configure it again, so cdebconf will skip over already displayed questions. The stuff to temporarily set showold when a package is reconfigured never happens, becuase choose-mirror was not yet reconfigured in the first place. I don't know.. couldn't we just leave showold on, always? -- see shy jo
