powerpc kernel-image udebs

hi

I'm currently trying to help porting the new debian-installer to
powerpc. In this process I am looking at the installer kernel-image,
which comes from kernel-image-2.4.20-powerpc-udeb, which is built from
kernel-patch-2.4.20-powerpc.
Currently both the udeb and the normal non-smp kernel-image share the
same kernel-config. I think we have to change that, because the
installer kernel needs to be as small as possible and requires some
special options like devfs-automounting on boot.
I'm writing to you to ask you how to best organize these packages. For
now normal kernel-images and udeb kernel-images share the same source
package on powerpc. But on i386 there is a special
kernel-image-2.4.20-1-i386-udeb source package for the udebs. Probably
it would be easier to maintain two source packages. But it's up to you,
to decide this.I'm willing to submit patches to you for either solution.
