Installation problem
I installed Debian 3.0r0 and I had some problems with it.
During installation process my computer (Compaq EVO D300) completelely crashed
down. It didn't even respond to the on-off switch so I had to remove the power
cable. This happened when Debian-installer was downloading some packages from
ftp. I thought that it could be the eth-card causing the error. Well, I re-
started installation but this time without using network connection nor
dselect/tasksel and installation was succesful.
I haven't got any idea where to go at this point. I would like to use network
connection without crashing down my system. Did this crash down happen because
of this PCI_IDE: unknown IDE controller on PCI bus 00 device f9, VID=8086,
DID=244b? And how to fix it?
Thanks in advance
