Bug#100749: cdrom entry in /etc/fstab points to non-existant /dev/cdrom

Debian does let the user pick which CD-ROM drive to use during
installation.  If they do not use one, however, how should the
/dev/cdrom link be set?  I think the best approach is probably the
one outlined in my earlier mail (and at the top of this one).
Perhaps the question should be medium priority, however.

If your DVD drive doesn't appear in the list of CD-ROM drives
during the installation, it sounds like a bug.  Please file a
separate bug report.  If it is not really a kernel problem, you
may be able to work around it by switching to /dev/tty2 and
manually setting the /dev/cdrom symlink yourself.
