The majority of the support will already be in base. E.g. glibc (already
has it, needs some tweaks), and libpam-modules (should only take about 5 -
10k extra in the module, if that much).

The extra pam module for keylogin, and the nis+ utils, should surely not
be in base. They simply complete the support.

However, Adam, I do think we need something in base-config for woody that
let's users select their Naming Service. Simply a select list of DNS, NIS,
NIS+, LDAP (obviously DNS is only for host naming, the others are more
extensive). This is useful for installation on systems in a LAN
environment, but obviously not something the normal user wants to mess
with (behold the wonder of debconf priorities will solve that).
