Status of Bug #53428

I'm currently working on getting a new perl-5.005-base package built so
that the new boot disks can be made. The Perl build takes a little bit
and I've had to restart several times. Ah well.
I will use the following command line to test if it I've got Perl set:
$ perl-5.005 -we 'use Debian::DebConf::Config;'
Right now, this gives me:

This is of course with only perl-5.005-base installed.
