I'm guessing that the kernel simply has PS/2 support compiled in. It
picked it up without any difficulties whatsoever.

Hrm. Yes, actually, you might have to. The UltraAX supports any PS/2
keyboard you can toss at it. It was meant as a low-cost sun4u solution
for OEMs, and part of keeping the cost low is being able to use generic
95 keyboards. I think that all PS/2 layouts would probably be a good
idea. Might be easier to do it something like this:
Select Keyboard -+v
Sun Microsystems or Compatible-+v
| Sun Keyboards
PS/2 or Compatible -+v
PS/2 keyboards

Mouse is /dev/psaux on the UltraAX and UltraAXi, but /dev/sunmouse is
also supported. They have a PS/2 mouse and a PS/2 keyboard port, as well
as a Sun keyboard/mouse port.

No problem. :)
