Bug#213013: install logging with script

Package: installation
Severity: wishlist

If there were a udeb with /usr/bin/script in it, then we could arrange
for the linuxrc to run d-i inside script, logging all output. We could
even collect timings data too. This information could be saved to
/target/var/log, and whole installs could then be played back, in real
time. base-config already does exactly this and it's great for the
really weird bug reports. Just take the memory use into account.

It would also allow for us to post some typescripts that interested
people could replay to get a feel for the installer w/o touching
hardware.

We could also add a menu item that saves installation logs to floppy,
including the syslog and the typescript, etc. This would be very useful
if an installation failed.
