The idea certainly isn't insane, infact it's commercially available (more or less) http://www.qlusters.com/ Moshe Bar of openMosix fame is the Co-Founder CTO. I haven't looked deeply at it's implentation or anything and I don't know owmuch (if any) proprietary code is thrown in the mix, but it shows this is quite possible. -Jon
