Your changelog entry should target jessie-backports, not jessie. (I
suggest using "dch --bpo" to easily create properly formatted
changelog entries instead of manually creating that changelog entry,
in case you were doing the latter.)
The next step would be to ask for a Debian Developer to sponsor your
package. Please ensure that you've read the instructions at [1], and
are committed to maintaining the backported package for the entire
lifetime of jessie. That also means responding to user queries/bug
reports against your backported package, which are supposed to be
submitted via the list, so please make sure that you're subscribed to
debian-backports. If you're willing to do so, I can help sponsor your
package (but please fix your changelog entry first).
