I did also try patching without deleting the non-ARM named patch files.
However, I *think* that the problem is that some of the patches require
patch -p0 and others -p1, and I just have to work out the Debian
magic.
Is it worth trying to execute the patches using the bash script header
contained with each patch, or for my purposes, shall I dump them into
the patch utility as normal (once I've worked out whether they need -p0,
-p1 or any other pnum)?
