converting gdbm database from 32-bit to 64-bit

Hi Guys,

I run an infobot (http://tastytronic.net/~dumont/) that uses gdbm
databases. I'm migrating it to my new Opteron box, but the libraries
on it give an "invalid argument" when trying to open my databases.
I know they are not corrupt, and I verified that I can make and open
databases on the opteron, and I verified the problem with a dinky test
database that i created on my 32-bit server but moved to the opteron
-- same error.

I could dump it out to text and back in again, but I'm concerned about
escaping special characters and all that jazz.

I have searched around but haven't found any solutions. Has anyone
here had to promote binary gdbm databases up from 32 to 64-bits?

Any help would be greatly appreciated...
