that is the installer i used. if you see early posts, i reported that.
i talked to the server's admin and told to copy that installer. currently the broken one resides there.the image i used is here (i told them to copy): http://darkstar.ist.utl.pt/debian/iso/netinst-sarge-rc3/
That host is currently offline, or not reachable from here.
maybe it is your network. reached it from here.
