The recent new upload of pinfo to the main sid works fine from the main debian.org archive. But it looks like a problem crept into the alioth pure64 archive. The /usr/share/info/pinfo.info was truncated to an empty file prior to it being gzip'd to pinfo.info.gz. This loses the START-INFO-DIR-ENTRY entry causing install-info to fail upon upgrade or install. Could someone re-queue pinfo to rebuild and then verify the resulting pinfo.info.gz file? Is this an indicator of a systematic failure of some sort in pure64? Are there other packages that suffered a similar problem for the same reason that we should search out and fix at this same time? Bob
