Re: Re: Miata & Kernel 2.6.x

Ok, it works now with kernel 2.6.7. I disabled 'use DMA by default' for the
IDE drives and now i work already 2 days without any filesystem problems. But
i have another problem now. I cant enable ALSA. On the Miata there is an
ES18xx (ESS Audiodrive) chip. ALSA work under 2.4.25 without problems. In the
kernel config (2.6.7) i compile sound support as modules. When i try a
modprobe snd-es18xx i get this error:

Unable to handle kernel paging request at virtual address 00000000000000b0

i tried to compile the sound support in the kernel, same effect.
Any ideas ?
