oops, sorry. i was looking at the wrong patch. it was my screwup, when i was
fixing the reject.

btw, i was wrong about the kernel compile speed up. i thought it took 18min
before, but it turns out the speed up was only 40 seconds. anything is good,
though. obviously the main advantage isn't with kernel compiles.
