So far, the testing has gone well with KDE compilation (I've gotten much
farther than before). It took four tries at patching to single out the
parts that we needed and combine them into a workable patch, but it
might've been worth it. If testing on KDE stuff works out, I'll do an NMU
for gcc that includes the patch and we can all get on with our lives :-)
If you want to test out the patched gcc on mozilla, write me privately
since the packages that I've made so far still have some definite
problems (all packaging problems...nothing related to code generation so
far).
