I've been having that error for a while, and copying /usr/src/linux to
/ just results in:
leopard:/# ps
Warning: /usr/src/linux/System.map not parseable as a System.map
Warning: /System.map not parseable as a System.map
PID TTY TIME CMD
746 pts/1 00:00:00 sash
