Assuming you're using SCSI and partition 2 for root, type

	boot sda2:/vmlinux.gz root=/dev/sda2 ro

To make sure what actual kernel file you have on the disk, you can:

	ls sda2:/

Look at http://www.bard.org.il/~marc and click the Penguin.
