Nuts... there have been so many errors that I forgotten
about it. No wonder I got different errors all the time.
OK, I've compiled 2.1.87 (just like you). I did the change
with 2.1.90 and got errors with kmod.c which I suspect has
to do with the new kernel threads introduced in that
release (affecting the kernel modules loader??).
