I bet 1e6 Euro that you have not read _every_ FAQ...

nice try, we are using Linux/m68k, we are superior. Sorry, but Linux/m68k is
a little bit different (you need a different source tree).

As Michael said, you probably use the i386 source. There never was 2.0.34
for m68k, neither 2.1.124. Do as is written in the FAQ, get the source from
sunsite (its next door for you) or from erlagen:
ftp.uni-erlangen.de:/pub/Linux/680x0/v2.2/linux-2.2.10.tar.gz
I never tried to use the i386 source and patch it.
If that does not compile, you look for kernel-patches:
ftp.uni-erlangen.de:/pub/Linux/680x0/kernel-patches/2.2.10
and apply them as needed. Now somebody tell me this is not written in the
FAQ?

Yes, maybe you have. But you should not expect us to remember everything you
asked here. I have a very bad memory. Additional to this, very many people
ask me for help, I can not remember all that. I try to answer what I can,
but then I need complete information, then I forget the question, I need my
brain for important stuff (important for me...). And when I notice that I
answered the same question allready several times, I become angry, cant you
understand that?

Dont do it. I dont know who made the patches or how, but when I built the
slink images, I only used Jes' source, with the "official" kernel patches.

Ok, my last (successful) kernel build was before gcc 2.95, maybe you have to
edit the makefile (somebody said its done allready?) to use gcc272 instead
of gcc (2.95). You may also change the executable, like the build daemons
do, so that gcc points to gcc272 during the kernel build. No Makefile
changes then.
If you can not compile a kernel then, using the correct source and using the
correct tools and procedures, it is a problem in the kernel-source and
should be reported to the kernel list, aka linux-m68k, there the clever
people are reading. For the record, I was able to compile 2.2.10 once on my
A2k, not sure if I aplied all the kernel patches, probably not, or not all
of them.

Fine. Unfortunately, I dont have one handy now, I might make one for my
config (060), that wont help you too much. As I said, I am trying to improve
the virge driver, currently those kernels do not boot.

Yeah, sure, I cant, Michael cant, but we are not the only ones who can built
kernels. Good luck.

Thank you, I will not waste my time, searching for your error messages
now...

And another 20 minutes wasted on answering FAQs...
