vide 1.05 and 1.06 gdb problem

gdb ver 4.18

Have a binary of vide1.05 and vide1.06......This is a great editor  .....

Have been using 1.05 and the GDB popup dialog has never functioned.... I get
the command window but the dialog blips on and then is gone...... gdb seems
oK... I have
the vide.exe in the Path... I assumed there was a bug of some kind involving
the popup dialog...

Got a copy of 1.06 today and installed as proscribed..... same thing...
Everything else
works just great but the gdb popup dialog just blips on and then is gone...

Any suggestions or advice greatly appreciated...
