No. Why would it be? If you can implement it deadlock-free, it's
certainly welcome.

You might be interested in knowing that there is actually already a
patch for that. over on github. I did look at it once, but had some
questions that remained unanswered, so I never merged it; but I have no
problem with the idea of a unix domain patch per se.
