[Nbd] Interesting problem with v. > 2.8

I have been using version 2.7.5 for awhile with few if any problems. I'm
using it in a network RAID5 in sort of a poor-man's SAN.

I moved to 2.8 (have tried 2.8.0-rc2, 2.8.1 and 2.8.2) and have been
getting connection errors. The connection fails when I connect via
nbd-client. Curious, I decided to connect via telnet to the nbd-server
port. It still fails. On the server side, I get an interesting error in
the logs:

Nov 12 17:26:05 stor2-1 nbd_server[1535]: Starting to serve
Nov 12 17:26:05 stor2-1 kernel: nbd-server[1535]: segfault at
0000000000000001 rip 000000000040322e rsp 00007fffff8f8330 error 6
Nov 12 17:26:05 stor2-1 nbd_server[1497]: Child exited with 0

Unfortunately my Assembly isn't good enough to start chasing down EIP or
RIP errors.

Using FC4 Linux with Kernel 2.6.14.2.

I have tried this on multiple machines (that have identical hardware)
and it still gets the same error. I don't know if it's a kernel or
architecture issue, though I also tried various kernels
(2.6.13,2.6.13.3.,2.6.14).

Thanks for any help (and you're welcome if this helps).
