a little way back (see what I did there?) I brought up the idea of a Gopher Wayback machine to Bitreich's 20h in the hopes of bullying him into action and it didn't go as expected. I wasn't thinking he'd do it, he's busy and I wasn't asking nicely.
what surprised me is he thought the idea was wrong and dumb. he didn't like the idea of recording Gopher history in that way and talked about a right to be forgotten.
I'm on the opposite side of the fence, I feel like history is more important than that right, and if you publish something publicly then you do so knowing that you absolve yourself of that right.
so I ask the list, what are your thoughts on the idea of a Gopher Wayback machine?
