again your assumptions sound like projection, nothing makes me happier than coming into a CompSci fossil's back yard and shaking their wires to see if there's any life in them. doubly happy if mine name and message is committed to the communal memory.
I think, as you and some others have suggested should be the ones to unsubscribe and, as the young Zoomers say; touch grass.
before the nurse comes over and wonders what all the ruckus around the communal computer is about.
