While there are two separate worlds regarding this, please keep in mind
that here, as is often common in non-Microsoft or non-nontech-business
settings,

1) Replies do not go at the top, text flow should follow chronological
order, and replies go after their context;

2) Signatures are delimited by dash-dash-space, if this isn't part of an
actual standard, it at least is the de facto standard for e-mail and
network news.
