[gopher] end of OverbiteFF

Given what I'm seeing in this thread:

	https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1296885

Mozilla, having removed gopher in 388195 and told us to implement an addon,
is now saying they won't implement the continued functionality to allow us
to keep that addon running. I don't have much faith this will culminate in
a solution. Remember, they ignored us in that bug too.

I'm already looking at one significant rewrite to get OverbiteFF to work with
Electrolysis multiprocess Firefox. I think I can make that happen, but I won't
have any socket or protocol handler primitives to make a second rewrite occur,
which makes it kind of pointless to embark on the first.

I'm going to still participate in that bug, but I'm looking ahead to what
happens if Mozilla declines to offer further support as part of their larger
purge of addons. That would mean the end of OverbiteFF.

At that point we'll need a cross-platform client, something that doesn't
require any dependencies other than what it includes with it, that people can
run preferably on Windows and Mac and build on Linux or *BSD. I'm going to
think about how to do that.
