Heh... you were quicker than me.
Since you are on Rasbian you could also run "make deb" and just install the native Rasbian package with "sudo dpkg -i ../*.deb". That would save you from configuring everything by hand (which is also allowed, of course). Hmm.... but it could be that my .deb package wants old-fashioned inetd, not xinetd....
For "make deb" I think you'll need to install build-essential, fakeroot, debhelper and dpkg-dev.
