Much of what was discussed in those two HUGE previous threads looked
like some really excellent progress, and now that it has died down a bit
I suppose people will take and ponder those thoughts and ideas at their
leisure.

When they are revisited, I expect even more general consensus or
discussion on the advantages and pitfalls, although I followed much of
those threads with more than a little haziness.

I think we've already discussed much about how to implement and test new
feature sets on the servers without impacting the clients that aren't
capable of understanding, so I don't see any reason why you shouldn't
experiment Kim.

Whether this will be an ideal method for securing connections remains to
be seen, but remember the axiom...

"If you build it they will come".
