Re: [gopher] [GOGOPH] Starting crawler

I don't know how to implement this hack... ^^
I'm staying close to rfc 1436.

I REALY think the power of Gopher is this simplicity.

My server works with Lynx/OverbyteFF and few other client.

Does this feature realy important ? Do you have documentation about how to manage "UMN gopher" ?
Anyone ?

ps: you can already test the search engine at :

Could you make it such that typing "gopher dams.zapto.org" at a Unix
command line will bring up your page?

Looks good from Lynx. I bet it's the old "UMN gopher keeps sending G+
requests" problem. Bucktooth has specific code to deal with this situation.

That is the same problem with Gofish server. But it provide a short gophermap
file for gopher+ request redirecting to a gophermap file under gopher rfc1436
standard.

Dammit, Gopernicus Teh Most Awesome Gopher Server also has the same problem. How didn't I catch that? I thought I had copi... borro... studied, yeah, studied all... I mean most features of other gopher servers already.

Oh well. I'm bored, time to code something that doesn't make any sense. Life is good :-)
