[gopher] Re: GoperVR for Linux "works"



It just needed a single actual code change, but I had to tweak the hell of the build system to make it work, and its quite a bit of trail and error. It's Motif based, so it's going to be fairly evil to port it as a native app. The painful part is you need imake which isn't included in Mac OS X's X11 distro. If you want to help me update it to modern standards, I can open a launchpad project (I'd love to port it to my gopher library so you don't need to slipstream U&M's gopher client into it)

Can you put your source changes up somewhere? Since Apple, in their infinite
wisdom, has chosen to kill Classic, I'd like to take a shot at porting it
to OS X. My G5 will run the original fine on Tiger, of course, but my friend's
MacBook Pro on Leopard won't.
