Not so much a question of dealing with TCP (this is easily handles by the client on ALL system), but what is done after the Client passes the link to another program (such as a Log file). Of course, if you depreciate and only use the numbers 0-9 (plus "i" for Informational file), the whole thing becomes moot.

MS-DOS uses ASCII, is there any other encoding which is used when using
tools which deal with TCP in DOS?
