I'm not sure if you realize this, but Synaptic depends on libept. I really hope that the "synaptic" package is not removed from Debian (and/or Ubuntu). That would be a *huge* problem for the (hundreds of) thousands of users who use Synaptic. I've already contacted the Synaptic developer about this and I hope it can be resolved soon. Thanks, Daniel
