Dear Maintainer,

*** Reporter, please consider answering these questions, where appropriate ***

   * What led up to the situation?
apt full-upgrade

   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
     ineffective)?
nothing, upgrade simply crashed

   * What was the outcome of this action?

Unsatisfied dependencies:
 linux-headers-6.6.9-amd64 : Hängt ab von: linux-image-6.6.9-amd64 (=
6.6.9-1+b1) ist aber nicht installierbar oder
                                            linux-image-6.6.9-amd64-unsigned (=
6.6.9-1+b1) soll aber nicht installiert werden
Error: Interner Fehler, AutoRemover hat etwas beschädigt.

   * What outcome did you expect instead?
to complete the upgrade

You said the "upgrade crashed", but the message you provided just above
is printed by apt BEFORE it does anything. Yes, the message says it
broke something, but it means that it broke constraints for the solution
apt was going to suggest to the user for confirmation: The future was
broken and hence abandoned, but the present remained untouched ready to
try anew to reach a (hopefully this time) [better] possible future.

So, just running 'apt full-upgrade' and seeing that message can not lead
to an unbootable system. What is far more likely is that your system was
already unbootable due to an earlier failure/crash/interruption of the
upgrades performed by dpkg (maybe instructed by apt, on behave of your
request and confirmation) that you haven't mentioned and tried to
recover from by running apt [again] ending with that failure.

It is somewhat unfortunate that apt is not always capable of recovering
from a 'broken' system state, but "recovering" means in these cases
usually running into the same errors again you will have to manually fix
(as especially in Debian unstable, those tend to be forgotten file
 overrides or failing maintainer scripts).

Kernel 6.6.9-1 was uploaded to Debian unstable on 2024-01-02 according
to PTS, so roughly a year ago. I am not surprised the associated
packages are long gone from the archive. I am a bit more surprised its
not gone from your system as well given apt does automatic kernel
removals nowadays (which might very well be the cause of the error…
its suspicious that headers want to be installed while the images are
long gone).

Somehow I get the impression you were trying to install an out-of-tree
kernel module and that went sideways based on:
| Kernel taint flags: TAINT_OOT_MODULE, TAINT_UNSIGNED_MODULE
But that is a wild guess and not really important anyhow.

To work on the brokenness the autoremover generated, we would need a lot
more details. Our README file gives more info, but the gist is that at
least the `/var/lib/dpkg/status` file would be handy to perhaps
reproduce this.

`/var/log/apt/history.log` and `/var/log/apt/term.log` could perhaps
tell you what command previously failed that had you ending up with that
state assuming apt was involved and not some "3rd-party install script".

None of this fixes the problem that got you into this mess though. That
would be another bugreport against whatever package(s) caused it. Given
that you said you completely reinstalled all of this seems impossible to
recover and hence impossible to work on.

I am therefore closing this bug report as not actionable.
If I misunderstood and you can provide additional details from this
system feel free to reply with the details and reopen.

Best regards
