[INTL] I'm puzzled about the exact meaning of one string in apt doc 2.1.16

Hi,

Version 2.1.16 of apt docs adds the following new string:

"Dependency types for ~D and related operators need to be specified in the
canonical case."

I'm puzzled about the meaning of the word case in this sentence.
Do I have to read "case" here as e.g. in upper case or lower case?
Could someone please clarify this?

Please Cc me while I'm not subscribed to the list.
