Description:

When apt-get update is invoked, and apt cannot download one of the
files... let's say the Packages file from a server, one would expect it
to respect the APT::Acquire::Retries setting in /etc/apt/apt.conf. It
doesn't.

apt (1.6~alpha6) unstable; urgency=medium

  * implement Acquire::Retries support for all items

Note that the option is named "Acquire::Retries" and not
"APT::Acquire::Retries" – it never was named like that.
