Hi,

we now have dpkg with multiarch support in experimental, and while
trying to report #658792 and #658793 from outside my test chroot, I
noticed apt-file only fetches files for the host architecture.

I'd suggest using “dpkg --assert-multi-arch” to check whether dpkg has
multiarch support, and using “dpkg --print-foreign-architectures” to
get the extra architectures to fetch files for.

As noted in the changelog[1], “command line interfaces *will* change”,
so you may want to stage any changes in experimental for now.

Thanks for considering.

Mraw,
KiBi.

Hi,

Fetching of Contents for architectures is now supported due to APT
handling it.

There are still some interface changes to apt-file that would be helpful
(like "pkg:arch" support/#773385), but I think they have already been
filed as separate bugs.

Thanks,
~Niels
