Package: aptitude
Version: 0.7.5-3
Some internet providers change the IP address of clients frequently -
approximately once a minute instead of once a day. "aptitude update" and
aptitude downloads executed by such clients cannot deal with this fact -
neither with passive nor with active sockets. They manage to download a
bit before the IP change and then say that a socket cannot be connected.
An improvement is needed. If it's already implemented, I'd like to see
the documentation of this feature.
Thanks in advance
Jaakov

I thought anyone from debian would reply here at least.
As for now, the issue does not seem to occur with http instead of ftp
any more. Closing, but please remove the ftp interface.
