For an unknown reason, since switching from ftp to http, I have alwaysbeen getting the same IP address. I check the IP before/after aptitudeoperations via

# ip addr show eth0 | grep "inet .* brd" ; aptitude -vvvv update ; ipaddr show eth0 | grep "inet .* brd"


Am I'm doing the IP check in a correct way?
